Reformation Sunday, October 29, 2017
All Souls and Messiah will have a joint service on Sunday, October 29, at 10:00 am to celebrate and commemorate the 500th year of the Protestant Reformation. As part of this event, there will be a pot luck luncheon following the service. Please sign up on the poster in the narthex, and German dishes are welcomed and encouraged!
Prior to the 29th service, there are two events that will help you understand the history of the Reformation in both traditions. You are encouraged to attend.
Thursday, October 5, 7 pm: 500 Years of the Reformation Speaker Series

We will reflect upon common charges leveled against Martin Luther through this very day: 1) an angry, drunken German monk; 2) anti-women; 3) supporter of bigamy; 4) anti-Semite; 5) destroyer of church unity.
